That’s what people are saying about me and it’s true!
I’ve always loved dogs, grew up with one. About this time last year I was watching the news and heard about a Puppy Cam. Who wouldn’t want to look at puppies? I googled it on the internet and started watching new-born pups. As soon as their eyes opened and they started to move around it was instant love, love, love! I couldn’t stay away. This was my first live Cam, so the whole concept was new to me. I was 100% hooked, line and sinker.
Over the 10 weeks that they were on the Cam I had more fun than I can remember having in years. I even learned to “capture” my own pictures from the live feed. Most of the pictures you’ll see on the blog are from all three Puppy Cam “teams” A, B. and C the last one. They’re Shiba Inu’s, a breed I’d never heard of before the Cam. Now they’re my numero uno favorites. I’m a full-fledged shibaholic.
The cam is still on with the “big fur kids” who are a lot of fun too. You can still tune in at any time, here’s the link:
A young couple living in San Francisco is owned by them. We call them Papa Feet and Mama Mary Jane because you usually only see their feet and legs. The superstar of the “C” team is Zen. His given name is Chosen, but everyone calls him Zen. He stayed on with the SFShiba clan, and you can still see his daily exploits by tuning in.
Here he is doing his exercises:
Here’s the other furkids:
Zen and big sis Yumi making the bed
Zen with his Mama Kika, she’s the mother of all three teams so far.
This is Haru, nickname “the loaf”. His hobby’s are sleeping and eating. He’s quite a dreamy guy though, look at those eyes!
Here’s my main gal, Auntie Yuuki. Love, love, love the yukkers! She’s the oldest, but often acts like a pup when she plays with Zen.
So these are the current SFShiba clan. If you’re having a bad numbers day, tune in and I guarantee that you’ll feel much better. Nothing like a cute furball to put you in a better mood.
There are also lots of puppy videos that you can view from the Cam, in addition to on Utube. Just go to Utube and type in SFShiba and tons of videos will appear.
Here’s one of my all-time favorites:
A Shibaholic recorded this video from the live Cam feed. We watched it happen and were rolling with laughter! You can see they not only like to move beds, but eat them too!
So check out the Shiba clan, and tell them Lizzy said “Hai”.

Knowledge is Power

When I was diagnosed, close to 11 years ago, I was told “you are diabetic”, given a prescription for some medication, and told to wait for a nurse to come in and give me an insulin shot. When I picked up the prescription I was given a 10-page booklet telling me “All About How to Mange Diabetes”, and sent on my way. That was the extent of my “education”.
